Cashmere is one of the finest natural fibres in the world and requires a little extra care and attention. After wearing your cashmere garment, you might find small balls “pills” of fibres on the surface. Pills are caused by loose fibre tangling together as areas of your garment is rubbed during wear. Pills can easily be removed by hand before washing. Gentle ironing after washing

will help prevent pilling.

Your cashmere garment should always be stored clean. A dirty garment is more likely to attract moths. If you are storing your cashmere garment for a longer period, then do so in a clean storage bag in a clean cupboard.

Your cashmere garment should be hand washed frequently following these simple guidelines. Soak garment in lukewarm water using a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly but carefully in clean lukewarm water. Squeeze the garment gently without rubbing, wringing or stretching. Smooth the garment back to its original shape and lay flat to dry. When dry, press lightly with a cool iron.
